ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ACHIEVEMENTS/AWARDS:
Wieslawa Kisilewicz graduated from Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in building structures in 1981.
In 1981 she joined Industrial Construction Company in Poland as a Construction Inspector. For a period of two years she was responsible for management and supervision of construction of new structures and renovation of existing buildings, carried out by the company. In 1985 she joined "WKB" Design and Developments Corporation in Poland as a Design Engineer. For a period of four years her responsibility included the design and construction review of commercial, residential and institutional buildings.
In 1989 she emigrated to Canada and in 1991 she joined Douglas J. Cardinal Architect Ltd., Ottawa, as a Design Engineer. For a period of four years her responsibilities included the design of construction review of commercial, residential, and institutional buildings.
In 1993 she joined John G. Cooke and Associates Ltd. and has advanced from Design Engineer to Senior Project Engineer. Elizabeth became an Associate of the Company in 2005. She is engaged in engineering design, project management and site supervision of new structures and renovation of existing structures. Elizabeth has been charged with several unique and challenging projects in our office, including Earthquake Stabilization for the Queen Victoria Statue in the Library of Parliament, design of support framing for highly sensitive digital equipment at Algonquin College, Floodgate reinforcing at Carleton University and many diverse projects at both the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum.
