History of Firm
John G. Cooke & Associates Ltd is an Engineering Consulting Firm specializing in Structural and Conservation Engineering. The company was established in Ottawa in September 1992 and now has an operating staff of sixteen (16). Principals and staff have a strong legacy of experience and bring an in-depth understanding and creativity to each project. This enables us to complete assignments which are innovative, efficient, of high technical quality, and on time and within budget. We are able to offer professional services in both official languages.

Special Facilities/Equipment
In preparation of reports and contract documents, John G. Cooke & Associates Ltd. would use our full function computer CADD stations and our in-house plotting capabilities. Design would be completed where required, with the assistance of the latest engineering design programming available, including Revit and ETABS. All work would be available to the client digitally, as well as hard-copy, should the client so desire.
Professional Affiliation and Certification
John G. Cooke & Associates Ltd. have a Certificate of Authorization from the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario to practice Professional Engineering. The firm is also a member of the Consulting Engineers of Ontario.
John Cooke and Grazyna Materna are both registered Professional Engineers in the Province of Ontario and are designated Consulting Engineers. John Cooke is a Registered Specification Writer (RSW) and Past President of Construction Specifications Canada (CSC). John Cooke is also a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
John D. Barton and Mary Cooke are members of The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists.
Marty Lockman is a registered Professional Engineer in the Provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Lisa Nicol is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
