Pinheys Point Estate Masonry Repairs
Work at the Main House focused on masonry restoration and stabilization at and near grade along the east façade. The scope included rebuilding deteriorated wall sections, replacing damaged capstones, and repointing stone joints where required. Additional repairs were completed at the entrance stairs, where displaced stones were reset and secured. The chimney was also addressed, with cracks repaired and joints repointed to ensure stability and weather resistance.
The original cottage foundation at the north end of the Main Building, now serving as a ruin and retaining wall, underwent significant restoration. The upper sections were carefully dismantled and rebuilt to match the original construction, with stones reset in their original order and joints repointed to preserve the structure’s historic appearance and integrity.
