Zibi - 15 Jos Montferrand

As part of the Zibi Development, three historic brick buildings on the former E.B. Eddy lands along the river underwent adaptive reuse. The project conserved the existing brick masonry structures and retained as much of their original timber and steel framing as possible, while upgrading the buildings to meet seismic code requirements. Several existing brick walls were removed to accommodate new glazing walls envisioned by the architects, and new structural elements were added, including a partial third-story mezzanine, a two-story front entrance, and a glass atrium spanning the courtyard between the buildings.
